Frequently Asked Questions PDF Print E-mail

1. Q: Can the system produce hydro in overcast conditions?
A: The energy produced on a cloudy day is only minimal compared to a sunny day.
The Copperhill™/ATRAX™ system maximizes your systems performance in any weather.
2. Q: Will a 16% efficient panel produce more electricity than a 14% efficient panel?
A: No.Efficiency refers to the electricity produced by panel size.
A 14% panel has to be slightly larger than a 16% to produce the same amount of electricity.
A 14% efficient system costs less than a 16% efficient system and BOTH SYSTEMS PRODUCE 10Kw
By referring to the chart below we see that a lower system efficiency can produce a higher percentage income.
Cost per installed watt is more important. Efficiency ratings refer to space requirements. Quality tracking systems
such as the ATRAX™ system easily handle most configurations to 10 Kw. This provides better value for the customer.
Efficiency of solar panels refers to watts/m² that a panel produces. Higher efficiency panels cost more.

Copperhill Solar FAQs

3. Q: Should I use a tracking system or a stationary system?
A: Solar panels provide the highest output when pointed directly at the sun.
ATRAX™ solar trackers can add 30%-40% more income than conventional stationary systems.
4. Q: Are trackers reliable?
A: Thousands of trackers are used every day around the world. The technology used in current tracking
systems has been proven in solar farms for over 15 years. Copperhill™ is known for using only
proven technology.
5. Q: Can my system be financed?
A: Yes. Copperhill has various financing plans to meet your individual needs.
6. Q: Will a solar system effect my property value? Check with MPAC.
A: Many people view solar PV and the income that it can produce as positive benefits.
The solar tracker is temporary machinery that produces electricity and can be moved away at any time.
It is not much different than a tractor etc. Check with MPAC to be sure.
